Development Roadmap

A staged, milestone-driven program taking the HG-250 from architecture definition through field demonstration, in parallel with commercial execution across the 600+ MW pipeline.

HG-250 Development Sequence

Phase 1

Conceptual Design

Architecture definition, stack qualification, and system modeling.

Phase 2

Detailed Engineering

Subsystem design, thermal management, and controls development.

Phase 3

Prototype Build

System integration, bench testing, and initial validation.

Phase 4

Field Demonstration

Deployment of the 250 kW unit at a strategic partner site; 5,000-hour initial validation target.

Engineering Workstreams

WorkstreamScope of Work
Stack CartridgeMechanical, thermal, and electrical interface design for qualified third-party stacks.
Hot-Box / BoPHigh-temperature enclosure, insulation, and balance-of-plant integration.
Controls / SoftwareEmbedded and supervisory controls, plant orchestration logic, and the owned intelligence layer.
Power ElectronicsInverter selection, DC/AC conversion, and grid-interface design.
Packaging / CHPContainerization, heat recovery system, and site integration design.

Near-Term Execution: 30 / 60 / 90 Days

30 Days

Alignment & Definition

Confirm Gen 1 architecture, down-select stack suppliers, establish core design targets, and define the initial demonstration site.

60 Days

Detailed Scoping

Finalize BoP subsystem scope, define the control logic framework, complete system-level PFDs, and initiate long-lead procurement.

90 Days

Engineering Launch

Commence detailed design, finalize engineering workstreams, lock in the prototype build schedule, and establish the demonstration pathway.

12-18 Month Milestone Timeline

30-90 Days

Program Launch

Finalize the HG-250 Phase 1 Statement of Work with Pratt Miller, complete architecture definition, down-select stack suppliers, and complete system-level PFDs.

6-9 Months

Engineering & Commercial Advance

Launch detailed engineering, secure strategic customer LOIs, advance the demonstration site, and prepare project finance packages for the pipeline.

12 Months

Prototype Initiation

Complete subsystem procurement, initiate the prototype build, finalize the control logic framework, and begin bench testing and validation.

18 Months

Demonstration Readiness

Position the first demonstration unit, commence field validation toward the 5,000-hour Gen 1 target, execute strategic offtake, and reach institutional-grade readiness for the next financing.

Fuel Transition Pathway

Years 1-3

Baseload Natural Gas

High-efficiency generation deployed immediately to solve the AI power constraint, with a lower emissions profile than the regional grid average.

Years 3-5

Hybrid Integration

BESS integration, behind-the-meter solar, and initial hydrogen blending (up to ~25% by volume).

Years 5+

Toward Net-Zero

Deployment of validated HG-250 SOFC arrays and transition toward green hydrogen fuel supply, full campus decarbonization.

Note: Roadmap milestones are management targets. HG-250 commercialization follows successful prototype build and field validation; the platform is not commercially deployed today.
